Dance discourses and dangerous conversations

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us for this special event celebrating the release of two recent publications by Dance Studies staff and associated researchers and artists – Undisciplining Dance in Nine Movements and Eight Stumbles (ed. Carol Brown & Alys Longley) and SMUDGE SKITTLE (Alys Longley) – and three recent doctoral completions by Suzanne Cowan, Kate Riegle-West and Alfdaniels Mabingo.

With special guest performances by two of the contributors to Undisciplining Dance, Zahra Killeen-Chance and Christina Houghton, the evening provides an opportunity for sharing dialogues between dance and words, raising awareness of the critical conversations such work performs, and celebrating recent publications and doctoral completions.
